Such a classic! My version of the Clafouti has a homemade eggy and buttery custard which melts in your mouth. The recipe comes from an old family from the West side of France where it was traditionally made with cherries or apples. Nowadays you can bake Clafouti with any seasonal fruits and that's the way I like it, the fruits I use are locally sourced. It pairs very well with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, sweet wine or port.
